When planning a trip to Jordan, two terms come up frequently: visa and Jordan Pass. It is essential to understand what these terms mean and how they affect your trip.

A visa is an authorisation issued by a country that allows a foreigner to enter, stay in or leave that country. For Jordan, there are several types of visa, single entry or double entry, for various reasons: business, tourism, family...

The e-Visa, also known as an electronic visa, is a dematerialised form of visa that can be obtained online. It is a convenient option for those who are unable to visit the Jordanian embassy or consulate. With an e-Visa, you can stay in Jordan for up to 30 days.

The Jordan Pass is a tourist package that offers visitors access to more than 40 attractions in Jordan. This pass also includes the cost of a visa to enter Jordan.

The Jordan Pass is valid for two consecutive weeks from its first use. This means that you can explore Jordan for at least 15 days without worrying about the entrance fee to tourist sites.

With the Jordan Pass, you have access to must-see sites such as Petra, Jerash and Wadi Rum. It also includes access to museums, castles and nature reserves.

These 2 documents are therefore complementary to visit Jordan. One is mandatory (the visa), while the second remains optional (Jordan Pass).

They are closely linked, however, since the introduction of the Jordan Pass, because if you stay more than 3 nights, the eVisa price is included in the Jordan Pass.

Whether you opt for a visa with or without a Jordan Pass, consider your travel plans and decide which option is best for you.
